  Hands down the best brisket I've ever had. The tourists are told to go to a few places here in Austin (Not naming names!), and I tried them when I moved here. They were horrible, dry as a bone "fast food bbq". NOT Highway 29 BBQ. The banana pudding is also ridiculously good, but I normally take it home after eating too much of their amazing brisket. I've actually sent it to a few people I work with across the US, and now they won't stop bugging me to send more!
  
  The only issue I have is that they're not always open!!!

  I give this place 5 stars, it is pretty good, and considering it's location it's practically the only thing to eat over there so it technically doesn't have to be good and people would come. It definitely is good though. Juicy BBQ, moist brisket the way I like it. The potato salad was good too. There ribs were fall of the bone. The best thing is the Banana Pudding, we got one to share, but it was too good we had to get one for each of us. I would definitely come back next time I'm at Best of the West. I highly recommend stopping here to get some BBQ if you are in town.

  HIGHWAY 29 BBQ has some of the best BBQ anywhere in Texas. It is consistent and always exceeds my and my families expectations. They will also smoke turkeys for you for any special occasion. I've never left a restaurant review online however I wanted to steer you to some of the best Hill Country BBQ in Texas.
